Seychelles’22

This series was produced while living and working on conservation projects across Praslin and Curieuse Island, documenting everyday life within the Seychellois community. The photographs focus on informal moments, social interactions, and the rhythms of daily life shaped by both environment and tradition.

The work centres on people and place as lived experience, discussing the relationship between community, labour, and landscape. Cultural influences rooted in African, French, and Asian histories are present as part of ordinary life. The project reflects a community deeply connected to its surroundings, where culture and environment are inseparable and continuously inform one another.
